Looking for a sign to clear out your garage? As part of its “Renaulution plan,” Alpine has announced that it intends to enter the U.S. market in 2027:
Relaunched in 2017 with the A110 and following a 2021 reorganisation as a Business Unit, Alpine is gearing up for a new growth phase. The launch of its new 100 % electric models from 2024 will enable the brand to boost its revenues so that it can be at break-even from 2026. From 2027, a world expansion phase will begin, backed by a line-up tailored to new markets including the USA, that will help improve Alpine financial performance and brand value.
Alpine plans have a 100% all-electric car range by the end of 2026, as well as launch seven brand-new models by 2030–one of which being an all-new (all-electric) A110.
Other models so far confirmed include the recently-unveiled A290 (pictured below)–which is based on the same platform used in the all-electric Renault 5 and 4–and a “C-segment Crossover GT” that will be built in France in 2025.

I've now seen three of the 90's era Alpines at some local car events and am reminded how much that design appeals to me.
IMO the A290 is all that matters Appx. 200hp, 200mi range, in something approximately the size of an 80s Golf.

The F1 team, I do not think he is involved with the production cars.
He's been doing a whirlwind of business and sports related stuff, I am kind of impressed.
Ryan Reynolds is like Shaq, in that you think they're wealthy from what they're most known for (movies, sports) but in truth own tons of businesses. Shaq even got business degrees before basketball.

It's not really a controversy. One is absolutely correct, one is not. There will be a lot of people who mispronounce it at first, but just like I learned to say La Croix like someone from Wisconsin, people will eventually learn that the correct pronunciation is Al-peen.
