For more than 25 years, the Grassroots Motorsports $2000 Challenge presented by Tire Rack has been the place where penny-pinching and extreme speed meet, celebrating autocross, drag racing and low-buck ingenuity–and Bill Cuttitta has been there to experience it all from the start.
Participating ever since the very first $2000 Challenge, Bill is a veteran competitor who exemplifies the spirit of the event like few others.
Based on his unique experience and his love for what we do, we are thrilled to announce that we have selected Bill as the Grand Marshal of the $2000 Challenge.
"What does that grandiose-sounding title 'Grand Marshal' mean?" responds Bill. "It means that I’m going to try to make the event better than ever–in addition to the awesome cars, friendly atmosphere, great racing and loads of track time–and help put some additional focus on the competitors and spectators."
The Grassroots Motorsports $2000 Challenge is presented by Tire Rack, in association with CRC Industries, HPX Show, Miller Electric and BendPak.

Bills a great person! Way back after we met, he loaned me a TransAm book which was very interesting! Many challenges ago.
My relatively nominal participation in the Challenge in recent years has shown that Bill is an excellent (if not THE) choice for this. Congratulations/my sympathies Bill!
