Rated for more than 431 horsepower and capable of a zero-to-60 time of less than four seconds, a BMW M4 GT4 is by no means a slouch.
Naturally, that just isn’t good enough for BimmerWorld who, after competing with their very own M4 GT4, sat back and asked themselves, “How fast could we make a GT-style race car if there were no rules or limits to cap performance?”
Enter the 2015 BMW M4 GTMore, BimmerWorld’s official entry into the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge.
What is the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge? It’s our annual no-holds-barred track competition where the only rules are that car and driver must pass a NASA safety inspection.
Here’s a closer look at this week’s selections:
Starting with a stock BMW M4, BimmerWorld's GTMore is well on its way to being a full-blown race car thanks to modifications like a proper steering wheel, OMP racing seats and converting the brakes to use iron discs instead of carbon ceramic ones.
The greatest strength of Khoi Ha’s 2012 BMW M3? “The fact that it is such a well sorted machine from factory allowing big confidence in the corners.” That, plus big aero, KW coil-overs, Hoosier tires and a few basic bolt-ons make this M3 well-adapted to NASA’s TT3 class.
View these cars, along with the rest of the field, on the UTCC website.
The Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge is presented by Tire Rack in association with Wilwood Engineering, HP Tuners, SPA Technique, KW Suspensions, XClutch and FCP Euro, with trophies from BimmerWorld, Mantic Clutch, Falken Tire, Hoosier Tire and Mach V Motorsports.
