In a field of tube-frame race cars based on modern street cars, how about old-school Ford Falcon instead?

That’s exactly what happened when Joe Llauget asked longtime constructor Tommy Riggins to build “something a little bit different.”

Back in the May 2012 issue of Grassroots Motorsports, we got to get up close and personal with this unique SCCA GT-1 racer, which you can read now—along with our entire digital archive—by getting GRM+ today.

Besides having unlimited access past and present digital editions of the magazine, GRM+ members also get reduced advertisements on site, exclusive deals just for GRM+ members and a highlighted avatar with "GRM+ Member" added to their forum posts.

Hey, thats my car!

Nice original article. I bought it in the fall of 2013. Although last year was a wash, I race it

up and down the east coast, from Watkins Glen to Daytona. It is a great car, as fast as it is

unique. it is now white with blue & red highlights.

Great magazine, I subscribed last week..
