For the 2020 Ultimate Track Car Challenge, Hendrick Motorsports brought two of their "Track Attack" prototypes. Both are covered in a custom body stylized after a Chevrolet Camaro, and both make use of a sequential transmission.
The first one, powered by an LSX engine good for over 625 horsepower, finished eleventh overall with a lap time of 1:55:019.
The second model was powered by an in-house V8 engine with more than 850 horsepower on tap, and finished fourth overall with a 1:49.088 lap time.
For perspective, here is Brian Faessler's 1:47.507 lap in his heavily modified Ford Mustang.
If nothing else, this year's UTCC really did bring out some of the fastest and most capable driving machines we've seen thus far.
Sure, it may be a year away, but what sort of plans do you have for the 2021 UTCC?
