Where do a lot of people get their speed parts? Summit Racing.
And who’s now involved in the $2000 Challenge? Summit Racing.
The giant parts house is putting up $2500 in prize certificates for this year’s Grassroots Motorsports $2000 Challenge presented by Tire Rack.
Don’t have a low-buck build? You can still participate as the $2000 Challenge is no longer limited to low-budget creations. Run, have fun and, perhaps, take home some prizes.
The $2000 Challenge rolls into Florida’s Gainesville Raceway October 22-23, 2022, with the schedule featuring autocross and drag racing.
While the low-buck cars will get plenty of time in the spotlight, how will they fare against the rest of the field? Is a Corvette turned into a Chaparral-style sucker car still the hot setup for autocross? Even without a budget cap, can someone break the 9-second barrier in order outrun the Nelson family on the drag strip?
Join the chatter here, with rules, details and entry info posted on the $2000 Challenge site.
