Cop shocks, cop brakes?

Need a car so you can get the band back together for the sequel? You’re going to need an old police cruiser.
But don’t settle for just any old police cruiser, get this Crown Vic used in the filming of Blue Brothers 2000.
Previously owned by Dan Aykroyd–the Crown Vic is registered under his name–the car features an inscription written by the actor as well as various documents pertaining to the film.
Available from Mecum, this 1991 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is set to cross the auction block on October 5.
If that really is one of the cars used in the movie, I know the person that built it. and kept it running for the filming sequences. I think he did mention that Aykroyd took the car with him at the end of filming.

With a supposedly 15 grand in engine performance parts, it certainly is not a "cop motor"
Huge fan of the original, have the "special edition" DVD with deleted scenes. Drove through Chicago humming the music during the chase scene.
I honestly can't remember if I ever saw this movie. I still don't feel the need to watch it.

With all the dirt and grime on it, you'd never know from the picture that it has aluminum heads and intake. (I suspect that $15k is actually the all-in price they paid to have the engine and trans built and installed, not $15k in performance parts.)

You know, I never saw it, either.
I am a fan of the original. The true one.
Coworker and I discussed this movie once and we listed the "stars" that were in it - quite an impressive group in that movie.
