This one might keep me up, too. Hopefully someone here snags it. :)
What’s a BMW M3/4/6? Well, if an E36-chassis BMW M3 sedan with a five-speed stick is an M3/4/5, can we call this one fitted with a six-speed an M3/4/6?
What we know from the ad: 1997 BMW M3 sedan fitted with the six-speed box from an E46-chassis M3.
It has also received Bilstein springs and dampers plus an unspecified, aftermarket cat-back exhaust.
Asking price is $17,000, and it’s located in Los Angeles.
Interesting choice. I did not like the high Revs n the freeway in my E36 M3, so maybe this improved that and MPGs.
Looks clean. Alpine white is my favorite color. Price could be worse given how much E30s and other 90s icons go for, and I'd rather have this.
It's funny to see how these have aged. It's so angular looking to me now, which isn't how I thought of it when I owned one in the 2000s.

Agreed. Would rather add the s54 and keep the 5sp :-)
