Just like an M3, this E30 is powered by a free-revving four-cylinder engine. Unlike an M3, however, the engine in this E30 did not come from Germany, but Japan.

More specifically, that engine is a Japanese-market Honda K20 that was fitted into the E30 using a KPower E30 swap kit.

Upgrades? There are several listed, including KW V3 coil-overs, a CSF radiator, Konig Dekagram wheels, Sparco racing seat, Schroth harness and a fire suppression system.

Find this 1987 BMW 3 Series K-swap race car listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace for $22,800.

This car gives off aggressive "I wanna go fast" energy. Maybe it's the fact the inside is a bit of a mess but the engine bay is clean and well put together that makes you look at it and go, "Yeah, we gotta go fast."

In reply to Paris Van Gorder :

It's the tire sidewall/rim diameter/width ratios, I think.  It looks like it was built for performance, not parking hard.

I agree. A chunkier tire gives off a certain vibe. A good one.

It also seems like a chunkier tire is more "in vogue" than low-profile tires these days.
