With the factory power steering, and our new Ididit column, we could now run a smaller steering wheel. We had this one left over from a Mustang project a few years ago.

The Ididit column comes complete with new wiring and a Ford style plug for the turn signal and emergency flasher.

We also installed a new Ididit rag joint between the column and the steering box.

We decided we wanted to swap our original fixed steering column for a tilting column to make the driving position more comfortable for a wide range of drivers.

Fortunately, a company called Ididit, makes beautiful reproductions of Ford and other columns. They had a column in stock with the tilt option.

Available in either paintable steel or chrome, these columns fit perfectly and include fresh wiring and mechanisms for turn signal and emergency flasher.

Installation was simple. We used a new rag joint from Ididit as well—as our original rag joint between the steering column and steering box was in questionable condition at best.
