Our friend in Wisconsin is getting a Signal Green body.

Ed buffs out the green nose section.

Here's the gelcoat layer of our body.

Ed and Jeff start the lay-up process on our nose.

The guys at CM Wholesale Bodies are really getting into the swing of producing our LeGrand bodies. We’re now making a total of three bodies—one for our project and two for some friends of ours.

The finished weight of each one is right at 62 pounds. That means our project will be losing around 30 pounds—3 percent of its total weight.

The lay-up consists of a layer of .75-ounce fiberglass, a layer of cloth, a layer of 2-ounce fiberglass, and finally another layer of cloth. The result is a very light and strong fiberglass body that should withstand pylon hits.

We’re expecting to see a finished orange body by early next week.
