Man, that looks like a ton of fun!
Here's the yump that bent our skidplate and broke the rear shock absorber.
Subsequent pictures show the skidplate’s new concavity.
Here we are on the second-to-last stage. Do we look tired?
To give you the full multimedia feel for STPR, we’ve got some wonderful shots from Lorne Trezise, rally photographer extraordinaire. If you visit his Web site, you’ll find the full-res versions at http://frozenmotionphotos.com/per.htm.
And we’ve got video, too. We used a Motorsports Hero camera from Go Pro Camera for in-car footage at the Susquehanock Trail Performance Rally. This footage was from midday on day two of the event, and it showcases the fast and narrow forest roads. We mounted the camera at the top of the windshield, near eye level. We placed the sound setting on “low,” since “high” would have invited a lot of crackle and blow-out noise. We might modify the camera housing a wee bit to get more sound while it’s on the low level.
