Our Saab 99 rally car is nearing completion with just a few small details left on our list of things to do. The Racetech seats went in this morning, without too much hassle—credit mounting pads and a little too much experience with how to screw this job up.
Always measure the distance between the pairs of side mounts. It’s typically not symetrical from front to rear. The 4009WTHR was also about 7/8-inch wider than the 4009WHR at the base.
The 4009WTHR is comfortable and safe. We’re looking forward to spending some time in it.
Our choice for belts were these Schroth Profi III 6-point harnesses with an FIA approval rating.
We’ve still got an intercom to mount and some undercarriage work to complete before our first event.
We applied some nifty Michelin Man stickers on the car, in honor of our rally tires.
