We applied some vinyl graphics to our Saab rally car yesterday. The stripes are patterned after those found on the 1974 Saab 99 LE model. We had them cut in the same mustard-like yellow that we made our SaabRally.com decals. The effect is very ‘70s.
We also applied the white vinyl square as mandated by rally rules. That’s where our car’s number will go at an event.
We also wired in a solenoid operated battery cutoff switch. The switch on the dash just handles a low amperage ground wire that activates a heavy duty solenoid that is mounted just inches away from the battery. That means we don’t have to worry about running large battery cables too and from the battery for a switch. You can find out more about this switch at BatteryCutoff.com
