We mounted up some Toyo Proxes RA-1 tires on Pack Racing Superlite wheels to test out our tarmac rally set up.
The rolling diameter of the 205/50R15 tires is considerably shorter than the stock versions, but this will be fine for the occasional asphalt event where ground clearance isn’t as essential. The Pack Racing wheels are 15x7 inches with a 30et offset and a 4x114.3 bolt pattern. The result is a perfect fit on our vintage Saab.
Our plan is to autocross this weekend with the Martin Sports Car Club to see how the car fares on pavement. The drive to and from the event will be further shakedown for the car prior to SandBlast in February.
