We ran the Civic at Indian River Community College this weekend with the Central Florida SCCA, and while it was only a two-car class we had lots of fun. Perhaps the impending rain scared away some people. Well, whatever, the rain stopped before our first runs, and we had a good back-and-forth duel against our friend David Erecitano. In the end, our Civic beat his Civic by about a tenth of a second. That finish moved us from third to second place in the region’s class points race.
The course was on the tight side with two slaloms, so we cranked up the rear shocks a bit. At first, we dialed them up one complete turn from full soft, but the car didn’t feel right. Half a turn up from full soft felt better. We didn’t bring a camera since it looked like the weather was going to be wet.
