Lay the pre-cut vinyl against the headlight to confirm it's the right shape.

Peel off the protective backing and spray with filtered water.

Apply the film to the headlights, aligning the long edges.

Squeegee the water and air bubbles from the center outwards.

Keep squeegeeing to get rid of all of the imperfections. You can peel and reset the vinyl several times during this process.

The last few bubbles are worked out from under the vinyl. You can use a razor blade to trim excess material from the edges.

We also applied a yellow film to our fog lights and some smoked film to our side reflectors to enhance the appearance of our car's nose.

Installing protective headlight film is a great way to protect your lights from stones and debris, as well as enhancing the look of your car. We installed Lamin-X film on our headlights, fog lights and side reflectors. It’s really easy to do. Here’s how.
