We covered the fiberglass door panels with vinyl and carpet, and added real handles.

The dash was also bare gelcoat, so we wrapped it in vinyl for a more OEM appearance.

The center console, once bare aluminum, is now carpeted.

Who doesn't like accent panels?

Our Factory Five 818 was finally optimized for track duty. But what about its time on the street? No matter how tough you are, a car without real door handles or carpet eventually wears on you.

So, with the help of VeryCoolParts we finally carpeted our 818’s interior and replaced the fragile wire door latch pulls with real handles from a WRX. We also covered the dash and door panels with vinyl. These steps didn’t cost or weigh much, but they made a huge difference in our 818. Now it’s nearly a civilized street car. Until you step on the gas, that is.

Looking to do something similar to your 818? We paid about $100 for everything, and ordered from Albright’s Supply.
