Update by Darren Vannoy to the Factory Five 818 project car

In order to prepare the WRX transmission for two-wheel drive service, you must separate the rear casing.

Our original clutch on the donor engine has seen better days.

The SPEC clutch and flywheel will provide the clamping force needed to support engine modifications in the future.

Our Factory Five 818 will only be driven by the rear wheels. There are a few simple steps involved to make the all-wheel-drive transmission work in mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive vehicles such as the 818. We also replaced our clutch and flywheel with a SPEC combo. Good thing, too as our original pieces on the donor engine weren’t usable.
