Well, this project died the slow death. The more I tried to prep the shell, the more rust I found. It reached a point I didn’t consider it a safe starting point for anything performance oriented. I can weld some basic stuff, but not structural elements of a unibody car.
Sold and gone.
I still think the concept of an Eagle SX4, with a 258 de-stroked to a 199, would have worked in Rally America’s ‘Open Light’ class. But not this particular car.
