The last of the supercharged Minis. The coupes went to turbo in 2007. The convertible was a holdover due to top mechanism tooling changes. This one is a Sidewalk Edition, a return to previous original Mini models that had various special editions from time to time including a Sidewalk Edition. Mine has special colors of paint and interior trim. Including the leather seats which are a color called Malt, the color of a baseball glove. Goes especially well with the BRG exterior paint. The Sidewalk came with almost all options. Mine has the automatic transmission which is BMWs excellent sport transmission with multiple shifting modes and paddle shifters on the steering wheel. It’s a great little car and as Road&Track said in a review- “it’s more of a sports car than most sports cars”
