Took the Elise on its first track day on Tuesday. Silverstone, so it’s a very fast circuit which didn’t suit it that much but it held up OK. Nothing fell off, at least nothing I know of and the to-do list I came away with was pretty short. Main problems are that the brakes want better pads, the gear change wants adjusting and probably the clutch hose changing (the early ones like this have a plastic hose that’s notorious for heat soak as it runs right next to the coolant pipes) and we need to find out why the engine seems a little reluctant to rev out.
