1974 Triumph TR6 TR6

Bought in 2019 w/ 74k miles. In 2020 I realized I had rod bearing noise and decided to rebuild the engine. My son has an auto shop with lift and engine hoist making this not too difficult. I did everything but the machine work, had a good local shop do that part. These engines were sort of strangled by the new emission regs in the US. Since the car is over 25 years old emissions no longer matter! The old “you might as well” kicked in and I decided to build in bit more power. Bumped the compression ratio from 7.4 / 1 to by milling the head, added a more aggressive cam, electronic ignition, sidedraft webers, lightweight flywheel, etc. While I was at it, I put in lower, stiffer springs and Koni red shocks. The build took way longer than I expected but it’s done. So much fun to drive now!
