So let me get this right. Not only has this had the GTX (o-!-o) grafted under the trunk and a fuel cell added to make room, but it also has a 1.8L turbo upgrade to make more Vroom?!
(BTW, love the hood ornament; my 17 year-old son owns both a 1955 Olds Rocket 88 and a 1992 XR2, and that is a mash-up that he would approve of, for sure!)

Yessir it has the AWD drivetrain from an 88/89 Mazda 323 GTX and a BP engine with a Tbird/VJ20 hybrid turbo pushing stock boost for now. I have a fuel cell mounted in the trunk because I was unable to locate a GTX fuel tank at the time, but its worked out fairly well overall.
Glad you like it! The GTXR2 will be attending the 9th annual MACG and I will also be hosting the 2nd annual NECG this year- come and check it out! www.caprigathering.com
