I bought this car in 2008 after a NASS member in MD won the Carlisle give away car and discovered he had too many cars in the driveway. This was a car he had sort of “saved” to begin with and was looking to unload… Again… probably paid too much, but considering the seller is well known in the Spitfire community, I assumed it would be a good car. And it was… for awhile… The problem with a Spit 6 is adding those two extra pistons really kills the fun balance of a Spitfire… Oh with a 3.27 rear and an O/D tranny, it would go like stink on the highway (would cruise at 80 mph for as long as you could take it), but on the back roads where a Spit should be in it’s element, it was not… add to that my new-found love for auto-x and I owned a car I really didn’t need. Sold in 11/09.
