Bought my ‘98 5 speed manual Extended cab used with 38k miles in 2001….have almost 170k miles on her now. Still on original clutch and I haven’t been easy on her from the day I got her - yanked bushes out of my parents front yard, numerous trips to the land-fill, autocrossed her for 3 years including taking an Evolution school Phase, been on roadcourse a few times with her, and daily drive her hard (high RPM’s and high speed cornering every day)…. Not stock, had her pulling 1.00G steady state when I was autocrossing. She’s been detuned for daily driving the past few years (removed all anti-roll bars and low grip tires). Just put a set of Kumho Ecsta LE Sports on her though (205/55-16’s on 16x7.5 Kosei K-1’s) since the stock steelies had the BFG comp TA’s worn down to slicks…and those LE’s are nice tires wet or dry!
