Peter Brock on penning the ’63 Corvette and making the Cobra a winner

Remember what you were doing when in your early 20s? In his early 20s, Peter Brock was already establishing himself as a designer at General Motors.

We recently sat down with the legendary designer and Classic Motorsports contributor, where Brock discussed his early years in motorsports–including how he learned from builder Max Balchowsky, saved the Corvette with Bill Mitchell, and created the Ferrari-beating Shelby Daytona Coupe.

Glad you enjoyed it. I was fun and fairly easy for me, since I know Peter and the story so well.

Great interview!!!!  I've been a Ford guy forever. I was lucky to be at the '63 le Mans race when my father was in the military. I was 13 at the time and fell in love with the predecessor to the Ford GT, the Lola GT.  After going through several Falcons & Muntangs I'm now I'm the owner of a GT 350H for 44 yrs. I thought I know a lot about everthing Shelby.........NOT! I can't wait for the next inter with Brock.
