Ever heard of Monteverdi? The short-lived boutique builder of luxury sports cars and grand tourers existed as Switzerland's only car maker from 1967-1984. They even tried their hand at Formula 1, but with without much success.
It's funny how Both Jensen and Monteverdi Used The RB Chrysler Block for their Powerplant / drivetrain. I suppose It was tons cheaper and got the job done.
I have seen a few Jensens in person at Chrysler Carlisle Nationals, But I don't think I have witnissed a Monterverdi in person before.
The video incorrectly portrays the LA block engine from 6:40-6:48 as chrysler Bigblock.
Jensen also played with uprated power and they built one very special car, the Jensen FFF, a one-off 4 wheel drive hemi powered beast.
0 to 100 mph and back to 0 again in 11.5 seconds in the dry. In the wet it took only 12.2 secs. the result of erly antilock braking. The 600 bhp, 560 Tq Keith Black hemi didn't hurt. Would be able to say 'bye' to a Hai!
