Yeah I have a 355 sitting in my shop in pieces and a TPI setup from a Corvette that I got off a member here that would make for a fun combo under the hood of a Monte SS. Match it up with a 6 spd trans and a 8.5 rear. The handling issues can be solved using some of the more modern goodies that the Pro Touring crowd are responsible for coming out for these car.
I had serious, serious crushes on these. Too bad I've been flat broke since then.

Oh, I'm familiar with all the goodies out there now. When I make it rich, I'll hunt down a stock survivor '85 SS like my uncle had. Probably won't be anytime soon...
My first "real" car was a '78 Malibu, back before anyone knew what you could do with them. It was a fun sleeper after replacing dying 305 & dead Metric 200 with the obligatory 350/350 combo.
Looked a lot like this, but with RWL instead of WW:

My Cutlass is getting the 403 out of one of these.
My in-laws gave me a diesel one of these right before my wife and I got married:
My wife said it was the first compromise of marriage. My truck was totaled by a high-risk driver and the car was sitting in their driveway. Had been sitting for a few years. I didn't want it, but was obligated to take it. It brought me lots of heartache. Wanted to put a 455 in it, but eventually the years of PA road salt took its toll.

We've been spotting foxes in the backyard since springtime. It looked like there were different ones and we surmised that there was a fox family living in the woods at the back of the yard. We only saw one fox at a time and from far away all foxes look a lot a like so it was hard to confirm the fox family theory.
Until tonight. 3 foxes spotted all at once. They spent a few minutes playing with each other, sitting in the grass, licking their paws, etc. Until one went to the right into the neighbor's prairie, one went to the left back into my woods, and the other ran up towards the house along the property line and went into the front yard. Probably across the street into the wooded hillside over there.
I tried to get some pictures. I took as many as I could, but had to take them through the window since if I go out on the deck they run into the woods. This one was at 20x zoom through a dirty window at dusk so it is a crappy shot, but enough proof that there are at least 3 foxes in my yard. The 3rd one id way off to the right of the shot. The closest one had just started his jog that turned into a sprint up the hill towards the house.
Happy Birthday! Number 74 for the man who designed the DeLorean, among other things: Giorgetto Giugiaro.

Too cool! I remember one time in the early to mid 1990s when I was driving through some rural back roads in Ohio when I stopped to watch some fox kits. They were stalking grasshoppers in a field. Really cute critters.
Malibu Wagon: as it should be.
Out of all the G-bodies, I preferred the Grand Prix 2+2 Aerocoupe. Surprisingly, for such a rare bird, there are a few around here (including one that was on a local classified site for $2000).
After spending all day with one I am totally crushing on the Lancia Fulvia Zagato 1.3
I thought these things were so ugly until I saw one in person. Now I just want one.
Triumph/MG Lynx 2+2 coupe concept. Call me crazy, but I really like this. Lower it a few inches, and you've got a real looker.

You know I think that is the only G Body I have not seen in person.
El Ateneo, a bookshop converted from an old theatre in downtown Buenos Aires. Amazing place.

There is an '84 Cutlass for sale on the Huntsville Craigslist for $900. Running. I really am tempted to get it.

I've only ever seen two. The first one was on 24s. The second one was at Ken Lingenfelter's Collection.
