Forest Park says, "What's up?"

Ottawa's 90,000 acre Gatineau Park says hi.

You guys, that was my senior research project with some other Mech E's at the U of A. We built it in about 3 months. If you know spits, you can see there is not much left of the carboard firewall! Lemme know if you wanna know more!

New York would like to point out its 6.1 million acre Adirondack Park.
Seriously, though, given the land value on Manhattan, it is amazing Central Park has remained Central Park.
Ah, but the Adirondacks aren't on the edge of a city of a million people like the Gatineau is. I used to ride my mountain bike from my house in the middle of the city and be deep in the park within 30 minutes - and the entire ride was on bike trails. Ottawa's a great place to ride.
If we're just going for random big parks, I present Wood Buffalo National Park. 4.67 million acres. Full of hockey bears. And I agree that Central Park is a little shocking in the middle of Manhattan. I made my first visit to the big apple a few weeks ago, and it's definitely not what you expect to see in the big city.
