I think it may have been before my time. I know I have seen people use it in several other threads and was just curious of the original wording. Thats good enough for me.
Back the the topic,
I really do not think this is any worse than having porn around, its for adults.

Where is the original thread this was used in? Can someone link it?
I never saw the original. Yes, it involved someone annoyed over the use of 'tard/retard. I know it predates 2008

It has obviously been around a while, but is not so over-used that it has lost its humor value; i.e. it is one of the more "secret" memes.
Some say that if you reach MegaDork, you are given the keys to a 2.0 liter gremlin, and you are taught all seven of the GRM secret memes. (I'm only up to three.) All we know is that the secret memes are closely guarded. I suspect this is why my status was frozen as SuperDork. I have post-whored at UltimaDork levels, but I have been judged less-than-worthy of full understanding, and will never be allowed to ascend.
I revealed two of the secrets in the past week, and suspect that I have said too much....I need to go. My sources tell me there's a cement mixer starting up
Pretty sure it was a few boards back, it predates my joining around 2006 or so.

I'm not taking sides on this, and it certainly sounds to me like it is a humorous book intended for adults, but for the record, Amazon.com lists it under Children's Books, right there next to "Today I feel Silly":
Item 62 On Amazon's Children Book list
Again, I'm not taking sides, but 1988RedT2 does have a point...
In reply to SVreX:
Well, putting it next to other children's books is of course wrong. I am sure everyone here would agree to that.
I would also think everyone would agree that cussing around kids is wrong as well. Unless you live in a trailer in Nova Scotia.

Cripes, I was around for the 'tard thread. Has it been that long?

Yes, it has. I looked a little more, and the earliest I can find is July 1, 2008. That's wally recommending that the '!' button be replaced with a variant on that paragraph.

The original version of this book was released on June 14, 2011. The book was sold exclusively on Amazon. The first review was written June 1st when they were taking pre-orders.
I know we discussed the book here when it was in pre-order so that must have been the first week of June, last year.
It is currently Amazon's 121st best selling book so there must be millions sold. I do remember that it was the most popular pre-sale book in Amazon history.
For all of you with the delicate composition... there is a version for you as well released March of this year:

If only there was a way to have it as a template and just drop words into it like a fill in the blank answer.

then it would be over-used and unfunny

Wally definitely started it, I just didn't think it was that long ago. I remember that post.
As for the book, well... E36 M3. I need to go the berkeley to sleep.

Yeah, it would become the new "coolface" and "Xzibit"
Holy E36 M3! Its is a joke. Read by a guy with an angry voice, Sam Jackson. I can't believe someone is taking this seriously.
BTW, George Carlin once said, "There are no bad words, only bad intentions."
i think we all need to pool our money and buy a Cee Lo Green cd for anyone that gets offended by this stuff..

I think Wally was the first to use it in a silly manner, but the original post was an angry rant by someone who came across the thread while googling, signed up solely for the purpose of telling us all off, and then left when the tidal wave of GRM-ers crushed them up against the rocks of sanity.
