Get Rid of Those Old Shoes

Update by Greg Voth to the Mazda RX-7 project car

These wheels are now gone for something smaller and wider.

While it’s not a big update, we want to report that we just sold the 17x7 Konig Imagines on our RX-7; the buyer is a fellow RX-7 owner. The wheels were still in great shape after four years of use, but now it’s time for something wider. Stay tuned for updates.

The Imagines always looked sharp. Sigh…

I love it too.... sometimes. Right now I do since it is running. The last four months not so much.

I'm looking forward to see how wide a tire you use. I've never had a problem with my street tires but my track tires(same alleged size) rub where the rubber wraps on the inside wall.. Of course, only on the front. end. Do you think, maybe, I lean on it a little harder on the track?

I was planning on running 15X8 Sportmax wheels with a 15 offset. These come in at just 13lbs per wheel and are a good low buck option. It is rumoured that I should be able to fit 225/45/15 NT01 or R888 with that setup. It seems to be right at the edge of what will work. My fenders are rolled but not stretched, I am still worried about rubbing.
