Peanut butter and jelly. Hamburgers and fries. Spaghetti and meatballs. All are things that go together well–but there’s now one more combo to add to the list: Road America and IndyCar.

Road America and the NTT IndyCar Series have announced a multi-year partnership extension that will see IndyCar remain a marquee event at the Wisconsin race track “for years to come.”

As IndyCar President Jay Frye points out, Road America is more than just a great venue and a good partner as the track “remains a favorite for our drivers and teams,” thanks to its “rich history, iconic layout, and packed grandstands and campgrounds.”

The partnership isn’t just good for the track, however, as it also helps the local community as well:

This collaboration not only ignites the fervor of our passionate racing fans,” explains Mike Kertscher, President and General Manager of Road America, “but also plays a crucial role in boosting our local economy and nurturing the motorsport culture that thrives here.”

As part of the partnership extension, Road America and IndyCar both plan to improve fan zones, add more interactive displays and even expand access to drivers and teams to make the race experience even better for attendees.

I've only been to Road America a couple times. Once for a June Sprints and once for a media event, so the experiences were very different. Both were very good, though. It's a first-class facility, and very park line. I'm not much of a camper, but it's one of the places that definitely makes me see the appeal.

Cool to see that IndyCar is on the same page.

The crowds are legendary for the race on Sunday - in the past l'd go on Friday and you'll see drivers out and you can walk around the paddock.  Less crowd then on Sunday you can plant yourself in one spot.

Road America is certainly a fan favorite for many. This should be a great deal for both parties.
