I've always loved the VariViggen, but I had always heard plans were next to impossible to come by. Of course I've also heard LongEZ plans are getting that way as well.

this photo from the Bowers Fly Baby web page pretty much summed up for me why I want to build an open-cockpit bird someday.... I guess the same reason some folks are addicted to bikes and open air riding, this has to take that to a whole higher level...
Don't know the guy, but I'd trade places for a flight or two.
of course the Chilton DW1 was a nice design...

Lippisch, the fellow who did most of the German tail-less designs, might be able to take us forward another 70 years in additional to the last 70 or so.
Fastenal has vending machines, who knew?
Counter guy said they're the next big thing at facility or plant floor. Employee enters their ID#, gets PPE, parts etc. Locker style is weight sensitive so Joe employee can't bag an extra can of paint for home when he is only req'd one. Machine inventory reports back to local Fastenal supplier.

We give the German engineers too much credit. Cheranovsky, Northrop, and others were working independently along similar lines in the 20's, 30's and 40's.
This fur ball has started to ring the bell to go outside when she has to pee. She's cute and she knows it.
I keep remembering this dumb rendering I did in a high school modeling class and thinking it'd be cool if it was really a thing.
I sort of mixed these 2 cars, decided I didn't like fenders, and copied a Miller grille, but it didn't turn out like I wanted so I rendered it from an angle where you couldn't see it. Also it's taken me almost 4 years now to realize I forgot to put tail lights on it.
I want to see you guys top this.

Cheranovsky... hey, thanks for that mention. I have always been fascinated with the Soviet aircraft industry, particularly WWII and the prewar years.... somehow I have not read of this gentleman and his designs. You've just given me reading material for the day!
