Picked up this 88 camaro. Simple set up. 305 with unknown mods and a t5 5 speed. Car was used as a roadcourse car. Has a new fuel cell, front brake ducts, a really nice certified cage, and thats about it. Spent all 2k on it and received a few parts to recoupe. After going through the car i pulled out a few things and so far have made about 120 back. Hoping to make ~500 back in total.
No title car and no vin plate in sight, which is a big downfall in my eyes. But it is what it is. Currently sitting on hoosier R7s. If anyone is looking for a set, will gladly trade for some a7s.
This will accompany the rx7 this year and be the wife's challenge car. We are going to finish the wiring the last owner never got around to before he passed away. Car runs, but gauges were added and battery was moved. So things need to be tidied up. Will be a good learning experience for the wife and why cars are cool to build.
As a turd gen lover I highly approve of this.

haha! They make the car imo. plus i have nothing to replace them with lol. Im working on a deal for some rear drag wheels with tires that have a little life left. luckily 5x120 stuff is a lot cheaper than 5x114
The ole fire breathing 305...

As in, when you compare them to no plug wires it goes from 0 hp to 50?
I am excited to see how this build will turn out. You surely have an interesting project that will keep you busy for months.
Looks like a cool ride. Personally, I would move the battery to the trunk , centered above the rear axle. But, I had a battery hold down break one time. That's a big acid filled chunk of plastic and lead to have flopping around it the drivers compartment.

That car is SVRA eligible. Group 10. So throw some paint on it and have fun.
Well due to an unforseen purchase, i wound up selling it earlier this week.
I bought my dream car (2nd gen Viper GTS coupe) so i think i get a pass. lol
As forlorn as I am to hear that a thirdgen was sold off as an unfinished project, a viper definitely makes up for it...
i didnt really have to sell it. but the spot it was parked in was the only available spot to put the viper. Rather than play musical cars to try and keep this budget iroc, i just decided to sell it.

I think mullets are ok with a Viper, you'll be fine!
