Posting to see if a GRMer wants this- $1500, trades always considered. It's a Radian YX600 with an early XV tank, flat track seat, shortened rear frame, etc. It has 23500 miles, runs well, and is fast enough to be fun but slow enough to keep you out of jail. All of the modifications were done this winter, plus new brakes, rebuilt forks, cleaned carbs, replaced rear shocks and springs, new spark plugs, maybe some other little stuff I'm forgetting.
The ergonomics are (I think) overall better than the stock Radian, but the seat is hard, the suspension is stiff, and the exhaust is loud. This was built in a garage by me, so it's not a show bike, although I personally find it very pretty.
My apologies for using pictures from an ADV tag game- the bike needs to be cleaned before I take close-ups
Yes please. Would you be interested in trading for a 98 gsxr600? It is fairly clean (scratches and paint chips but doesn't appear to have ever been wrecked. Tail has a little damage). starts easily, new Tires, has a flat spot that needs attention but only an issue at part throttle.
Also, I might be heading to the Mitty next week and can maybe drag it along.

That is a sweet looking bike - GLWS. Oh, and since you used the pics... I'm not threadjacking. Which ToR are you playing there? If I am not mistaken that is Easton on the other side of yonder bridge, no?
In reply to singleslammer:
Hmmm.... I don't NEED a squidmobile, although it would be tempting to make it a track bike. I'm going to say no for now but also look at GSXR parts prices so that could change
In reply to GPS:
Those are from the Garden State ToR, although I am sporadically involved in the NY Metro Dirt one as well. I don't play as much as I'd like to, largely due to a lack of smartphone. That is the bridge to Riegelsville, a bit south of Easton- I think the one is Easton is nearly identical but slightly larger.
In reply to ¯_(ツ)_/¯:
I do the PA Dirty ToR, and have been bruced twice in the PA ToR. I don't play as much as I'd like either because the damn state is too big and I don't have much opportunity for 300 mile one-way grabs. I should try stealing a few from NJ and the Catskills one of these days.
Now I'm officially threadjacking. Sorry.
Wow just saw that you are further from Atlanta than me. That is somewhat surprising to my Midwestern ideals. Still willing to drag it to the Mitty (assuming I get off work) for a trade if you are heading there yourself.
Looks nice!
Want to trade for a 78 Honda Goldwing and a 85 Virago (doesnt run but did last year)?

I always thought the Radians were under appreciated Yamahas of the era. I would love to do one up with my extra Seca 650 bits, so I would have a chain drive one, as well.
Also nice to see there are a few FFs on here. If I was headed out to the Garden State, I would have to check the stable to see what I could afford to trade off...
Man, you did a really nice job modifying that. IMHO, the Radian was a great bike, just let down by its 80's tastic styling. You handled that quite effectively. Gots to love that 8 valve FZ 600 engine.
That's most likely the best looking Radian I've seen. Nice work! I loved mine. Comfy ergonomics and a really sweet powerband. It was an excellent first bike with just the right amount of power.
Nicely done bike, GLWS!
That's also a pretty neat bridge in the picture. Was designed by one of the famous suspension bridge guys around the turn of the last century IIRC. I think there's a plaque with the construction date and designer on the PA side. I've only been through there once and it was at least 10 years ago.
Thanks for the complements guys! Fritzsch, I might make that trade if you can bring the bikes to me, but that's too big a trip for me to make right now.
As for that suspension bridge, I drive over it every day for work!
Craigslist ad with more photos!
Since it's now listed at $2k, GRM price is now highly negotiable.
GRM price updated to $1500- getting tired of craigslist.

Still around? Have any need/desire for some sticky car rubber?
I'm (most likely, never know with craigslist) delivering it to its' new owner this weekend.

Can't decide if that's a good or bad thing.
Good for you, of course!
I probably shouldn't be asking, but did you sell it?
Have you posted this on the yahoo Radian group? That was about the only resource I found when I had mine.
In reply to ¯_(ツ)_/¯:
Well that sucks. Much want, but wife would murder. I'll pass it along to a few buddies, I believe I'm in your general neck of the woods.
Did you put it in the flea market on ADV? I cannot believe no one has snatched that up for $1500. I spent an hour this AM trying to justify it in spite of having just used up my whole stash as a down payment on a new car for the wifey.
