Tom dropped the registration link in the tire thread and I'm sure it was overlooked by most all of us...
This is the first official release of actual dates I have seen, but there are conflicting days shown on the msr page. 10/22-23 vs 10/21-22
Are we moving to a Sat/Sun schedule, or staying Fri/Sat?
In reply to Tom Suddard :
Will the Dynamic events be Saturday and Concours Sunday Morning?
I like it, easier to call in sick Sunday night then get the day off on Friday

It'll hurt a lot of the northern competitors trying to get home and to work Monday. I normally work Sundays and have been taking them off the last few years as a recovery day. You're young though. It'll hit you one day.

Northerner here. I always took the Monday off. Then again, I hate work.
Any shift in schedule is equal with regards to time off. If you take Monday off now, you're not taking Thursday off for the drive down. Outside of splitting the vacation days by pay period and week, there's no difference.
I acknowledge it's a minority of the population now-a-days, but some like to attend Church Sunday mornings, even when out of town.
Sorry, I know this has pros and cons, but this is non-negotiable and related in large part to track staff/volunteer availability. I think it's a net positive, anyway.

Trackside service with racers for christ or a similar organization? Id be game to go as well. Or, something we do on our own out at the trailer like dad and i used to do with a group when he ran tts with nasa. It was racer led su day prayer/devotion.

Yes. If I can make it this year, we'll work something out.
I think weekend date change makes more sense to attract more nearby competitors than tires or other limitations. Those of us coming from far away need to block time off anyway.
i still think the biggest hangup is marketing/selling/representing the event as something that's legitimately possible. When your own forum has people who try to call BS on the event every year(does anyone remember the E36 M3 show when i dropped pics of my 5.3 LSx swapped challenge car in 2016? No way can't be done how cheaty now everyone and their brother has a 4.8/5.3) how do you think typical car guy on the street who spent $1000 on his wheels and a cold air kit looks at me when i tell them we build and race $2000 cars that can rival supercars in performance. They look at me like my eyes are hanging out of their sockets. People just don't believe it can be done and no amount of explanation works.

if it was easy everyone would do it

What city are you in? I've been known to unearth some gems in my automotive searching.

We have a large north of the Mason dixon contingent. Ohio, pa, Illinois.
Then a lot of Florida.
Everyone else seems scattered.
There are a handful of us in NE ohio who have attended/regularly attend/finish on podium/win the party(myself, john welsh, dead_sled, the westside crew) There is a similar sized contingent in the York PA area(andrew and calvin nelson, andy neuman, blair, jesus dude another andrew your whole region must have 50% of the men named andrew). Spotting around michigan, indiana, illinois. Quite a few floridians, not sure what percentage of the field but it's a large chunk.
with the price of everything it's definitely not as easy to build a $2000 anything as it was 5 years ago. Nor are there any more $500 LS truck engine donors around me. I used to be able to snag a truck or van for $500 once a month if i wanted and grab the running 5.3 and crush the rest for $250-300 back at the scrap yard. But there are still deals out there on cars and parts it just seems they're fewer and farther between. The game still benefits people who got deals years ago and held onto stuff with documentation. But I'm drowning in a colossal hoard of that stuff and want my garage back.

Will the "don't judge me" 12 point option be available for concours this year for those who will not be present on Sunday?
