I actually had thoughts of stuffing one in my 70 duster at one point in time.
Had a big block in there for a couple of weeks, and thought that was too nose heavy, so that killed ideas of the v10.
I'm resisting the urge to swap one in my 2wd Ramcharger.
The sudden and imminent lack of income seem to be helping greatly with that.
It is a viper motor with an iron block and heads. less flowing heads, lower compression and a less aggressive cam. So pretty much not a viper motor but as close as you can get haha.

A Ramcharger swap would be fantastic
A Dakota swap came to mind first, then the thoughts of a Volare or Aspen with sidepipes

So it's iron block, I wasn't sure from your post if you mean the heads are iron too?
How down on power is it compared to a Viper? What would a Viper cam with home ported heads give you?
The truck motor is iron block and heads, and it is HEAVY. 300 hp and a metric E36 M3load of torque from the truck motor.
Good overview (and discussion of differences from the Viper motor )here: Allpar V10 page

Not as awesome as a Miata. Either way, sounds like it would double the curb weight of each vehicle.

I thought they didn't have much in common with the Viper motor other than it being a v10 by dodge. I read somewhere it was basically a 10 cylinder 360 (pistons, rods, valvetrain)
A V10 truck motor is a gas guzzling POS. There is a reason they quit selling the V10 motor in trucks.

It has a bellhousing bolt pattern that matches the Cummins. Nothing at all like the A/La/Magnum Small Blocks.

Tempting, but I think I will keep a small block in my 4 speed wagon if the 318 can't be saved.
My grandfather had a 77 Aspen Wagon, Dark Green with rally wheels and woodgrain, power everything. 318.
My sister's first car was a 76 Plymouth Volare Road Runner, Orange with white interior. 318. Sharp car
My brother bought a 78 Volare 2 dr, maroon, 318. His was a lemon.
