Just got back from looking at it in the pouring rain. I didn't buy it since I can't afford to be stuck with it if noone else wants it but if anyone is really serious and wants to front the money I may be able to do it.
It has no title, it was built as a race car from new by a GM employee and never on the road. It does have the log books. It was last raced in 2000 before the owner stopped racing due to health problems. The condition is pretty much as the pictures show.
The engine is a 305 bored to 310. Wheels are momo, spare wheels are stock camaro. All tires are old and rock hard.
That cramit'd look real nice sittin' in muh back yard. I'd look at it while grillin & drinkin beers, thinkin bout all the sweet jumps I could take her off of.
Stored inside? Was there any noticeable rust? More than one log book (as in, car was relatively reliable)? I think this would be an easy step into AS or even cross drive it in Chumpcar. I'm weirdly interested even though it would be a 2000 mile round trip to collect it.

There were two log books, one full and the second about half full. I did not see any noticeable rust, everything was solid. It is currently outside after being moved out of the enclosed trailer to sell.

Thank God for that. I did have a nice dream last night where I re-grew a mullet though.
I mentioned this object of my desire to my wife this morning. Since she didn't give me the DEATH LOOK, I took that to mean the opposite of "no berkeleying way".
Then when I saw it was still for sale, my mind turned that into a "yes".
So I left voicemail for wife, could she please confirm that not saying "no" did not mean "yes".
Then saw here that car was sold & texted her - SOLD
Her reply: "Sold to who?"
Me: Not me!
Her: "Ok. You can continue..."
Me: Living?
her: "Yep"

If I had the time to work on it, this would be a far more hilarious and appropriate hillclimb car than the one I am slowly assembling. But with neither time nor money to contribute to working on the thing I would be a lousy partner.
