Don't see a lot of these around anymore. Photos look to be fairly clean for a 25 year old Japanese car.

If that's a manual, that's a unicorn. Hell, even if it isn't, it'd be worth buying to convert. That's a Touring.
Darn it. Darn it. Darn it. Darn it. I would be ALL OVER THAT if I hadn't just bought one of those, and if I didn't already have seven cars...Looks like a screaming deal, even being non-functional.
PLEASE someone on this board buy that!
Ok well here's the deal: I can supply the parts needed to swap this bad boy to a manual trans.
I'm half tempted to grab it for myself since it's WAY nicer than my shell/chassis in every way, with 1/3rd the miles, and i think a beige 626 with 400whp would be the ultimate sleeper.
But i don't have that kind of time.
That right there is the holy grail. It is prohibitively far and broken for me to acquire it, but SOMEONE needs to.
I once owned almost exactly that same car, same color combo, same year, same wheels, but mine was a manual. I still have some of its interior in the attic of my parents house.
If I could only jettison a couple cars to make room for this...Damn.

I would like a set of eyes on it.
Chris
Would depend on exactly what is needed to do the swap. I know it'll need pedals, hydraulics (possibly including brake master), obviously a trans and a flywheel.
You'd want to source a new clutch, and the new slave cylinder is dirt cheap, wouldn't be worth messing with an old used one.
What i don't know is if you'd need the manual ECU for any reason. I highly doubt it. (But i have one)
I could hook you up for $500 at the most.
I can also help with parts. I have a new clutch master and slave cylinder and other stuff, if Ben can't put a complete kit together. In fact I will donate a new clutch master and slave cylinder to anyone on this board who buys this.
Whoever puts this car together with the rightful transmission, and sorts it out, will fall in love with it.
Huge storage under the hatch.
Super comfortable seats.
Fun to drive.
You'll never see yourself coming or going.
Cheap to maintain.
And this is about the best sleeper you can have this side of a turbo k car. I would be massively jealous of the owner
I used to own a non turbo Ford Telstar TX5 manual downunder, this would replace that car, plus turbo

Do it, pansy.
when I had my 90 lx, I really wanted to upgrade to one of these. the regular old f2 was good, I'd imagine that added "T" turns it into amazing.
This is far and I promised to only buy car parts on the credit card, though=/
I think a whole car qualifies as car parts. lol

The "T" is pretty fun.
Very low boost, blown head gasket, huge exhaust leak = 8 seconds 30-100mph. Professional driver, closed course, Mexico, etc.

I am really interested in this car. Do the offers of manual transmissions and ECU's still apply? I would love a set of eyes on it before making a trip down south. The seller doesn't appear to be interested in replying to me. Anyone have contact with the seller yet?
Offers still apply. Between James and i we should have you covered. I need to shuffle a car before i can supply the pedal assembly and the other axle, but we can get you sorted out.
You'll need to log in to post.
