Something artsy? You stand outside to serve, more personal customer friendly and a smaller unit to park curbside.

find a former Police paddy wagon or crime scene investigation van. I think it would be a hoot to sell coffee and donuts from a police van...
I'd get a good reliable step van since your business will depend on it getting place in order to sell your product. Then use graphics on the side of it to make it look all clever like.

Then get some sort of camper, that way it will have a built in lounge. Get fancy and add wi-fi, TV and all that jazz. An airstream would be awesome. Think of it as a mobile retro diner.
two neato ideas...
http://pizzafiretruck.com/ It's a fire truck that makes pizza
Iggy:
I LIKE the panel van!
JThw8:
cool truck- I've got a buddy with a very similar one set up selling ice cream. Maybe he and I could work event together...
I guess I could cut a Yugo in half, put the two halves on the front and back of a car trailer, with espresso counters built into both of them and tables in between.
The panel van is sweet. There was one for sale up this way for cheap, but it was just a roller. Seemed a perfect candidate to swap onto a modern suburban/tahoe chassis though.

Hmmm.....Yugo get some coffee!

Wonder how a straight six pulls that box. It's cool!

Found a picture of it. They serve the ice cream from inside the back section.
I like the bread truck. Had a '66 Grumman aluminum van, similar size. The little six did the job, got reasonable gas mileage, easy to service. You have a ton of empty space to use, and the outside can be a huge billboard. Large funkyness score. On those school bus auctions, those low prices are unbelieveable. Yank that aluminum body off for scrap, put a Suburban complete body up front, diamond plate the back, car hauler extreme.

A local guy just bought three firetrucks like the one Dyintorace put up. He sold off two so the one he's keeping is free. He removed all the fire fighting junk and is making a ramp type car hauler; gonna paint it and the car in some 60s NASCAR flavor.
Talk to your local volunteer fire companies.
Dan
So will I be able to purchase from this vehicle in my Lovely Hometown of Albany, GA ? Its gotta be better than Starbucks
Hey, that's not right! Who are you? You've been hiding out.
It's like violating the alternate urinal rule, or something like that!
Oh gosh- now that I've vented, do you wanna build a Challenger together!!! Huh, huh, huh??(Said like a lap dog with his tongue hanging out)
FWIW- yes, you will certainly be able to buy from the vehicle. But you can ALREADY buy our coffee from The Brown Bean Cafe in the Northwest Library on Dawson. (shameless plug)
But I'll do better. If you want to get together and talk cars over a cup of coffee, I'll buy. THAT'S a tough price to beat!

Now that's a cool project! If you run across it once completed, I'd love to see a picture of the finished project.

Got unique for you. Got visual attention! How about a fire truck?
When your on location at the county fair, you can run the lights and blast the siren every once in a while. They'll come at you like moths to a flame.
Call your coffee by design name like: •Smoke Jumper •Attic Fire •5 Alarm •Accelerant -like this one! •Backdraft •BLEVE -acronym for boiling liquid expanding vapor explosion. You can Wiki this one. :-) •Etc...you got the idea. Go to http://www.walco-es.org/FF%20Terminology.htm for more terms.
My truck is not a small trailer, but its plenty big enough to handle any type of kitchen you want to load er up with. No Purple Dinosaurs, hookers, or jalopies.
