This would make a cool hot rod engine for an old car. I drove the van home it came in and it ran fine although the trans did not shift all that smoothly. At one time I tried giving the van away on this board but since then I paid a guy to chop up it up and scap the metal.

I'm hoping to recoup some money by selling the engine and trans, which are now sitting in my garage waiting for someone to pick them up. Its probably worth a few/couple hundred bucks. I haven't cleaned anything up but I will take some photos for anyone who is interested. I thought I'd try selling it here and then try ebay maybe a week from now. The engine and trans are still connected. The trans had a floor shifter which will need to be replaced.

The vehicle was an early 80's van so this engine should have enough torque for ya!

I have no idea of the value, make me an offer. Send me a PM, but only if you aren't a scam artist from a foreign country.

Here was the vin number off the van that someone else had decoded for me...

E04BHFD0244

E04 = Cargo van body series code B = 300 cubic inch 6-cylinder engine H = Lorain, Ohio assembly plant FD0244 = this is the consecutive unit number. WB 138 = 138" wheelbase

Just to be clear for those who were interested previously, this engine and trans are out of the van and sitting on my garage floor waiting to be picked up.

How close to Cleveland are you? I will be picking up an engine/trans combo there already, and could be talked into another pick-up for the right price and distance
