As much as I'd love to keep this, I need to slim down the number of cars in front of my house. '84 Rabbit GTi race car (Improved Touring B class.) Full SCCA Log-book. Cashmere white, originally blue interior. Non sunroof car, a/c deleted completely. Here are the specs;
Rebuilt JH motor. Only 6 races on the rebuilt motor. Strong motor, runs very well with no issues. Group A headgasket -G-grind cam -windage tray -Techtonics 4-to-1 race header, custom exhaust with a Supertrapp. Comes with a second exhaust as well (custom pipe to turn-down) -F+S heavy duty clutch -lightweight flywheel -All poly motor mounts

-full Kirk Racing bolt in roll cage, with additional welded in dash bar. Removeable door bars.
-Momo Start racing seat (driver's side.) Original passenger seat is also included, and in near mint condition (blue)

Tons of new parts as well - All wheel bearings and hubs have been replaced, new radiator, injectors+o-rings, drums, balljoints, etc. The car runs extremely well; I drove it back from Florida with no issues, and have since competed with it in a local 24 hour auto-x (very competitive, and again; absolutely no issues.)
The body is in good shape overall, but not perfect. The spare tire carrier has some rust in it, but is still structurally sound (carried my jack/tools, and a cooler to the auto-x and back without issue.) The only other rust is under the taillights, and on the rear valence. To have ever been a race car, the body is in really good shape.
There are only a couple things that the car could benefit from; a set of tires (current tires are old and dry-rotted), and a set of shocks. The current shocks are fairly dead; a set of off-the-shelf Bilsteins would do wonders for the car. The rear swaybar is currently not installed, but all brackets/hardware are included. The passenger-rear bumper cap is also missing, but an easy fix, and just a cosmetic annoyance.
The speedo-cable has been removed, and like most Mk1 clusters, the tach works when it feels like it. All other gauges work as they should. The car maintains excellent oil pressure, very low oil and water temps, and runs like a raped ape.
With a set of tires, and a front end alignment, I honestly would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. It's been drop-dead reliable, and an absolute blast to drive.
