I don't have time for a trip up to MI to get this...
or do I?
Um, you didn't include a link, so I'll err on the safe side and say "Buy it." After all, that's what we're here for...enablers.
Oops, guess I was just too excited about the possibilities.

That's a tough choice. I've always wanted a Brat, but I love that Isuzu, and there's only one...so far.

BUY THIS!
Guy says he's a bodyman, so hopefully it's a decent job. It does look well done. I think it looks cool and if it gets fuel mileage anywhere near what he is claiming, what's not to like? (besides having to measure acceleration times with a calendar ...)
I vote for the Brat. You could make another one of those Troopers, I doubt you'll see another Brat like that any time soon.
In reply to mndsm:
True. That's the cleanest early Brat I've seen in a looong time.
Although the Isuzu is killer. And diesel.
Glad I'm not faced with this choice. Diesel Brat?
Honestly, a VW TDI swap in the Trooper would make it sweet. The Samuri guys have that swap pretty well documented.

Wow, I was thinking that he should be able to find a better Brat without too much trouble (so says the former owner of the World's rustiest mid-70's Subaru).
In reply to Woody:
I'm sure there are super clean examples out there, but a budget-friendly Brat with round headlights has been eluding me for years. Later square headlight cars seem to be easier to find.
Well, first get the brat. And then you have 6-7 hours to decide if you can fit the second truck on the trailer.
Asking if you should buy a car here is like asking a dealer IF you should take another hit. Of course the answer is yes. No, make that YES.
As soon as somebody buys my motorcycle I can go pick up the Brat. It seems to have been there awhile as it is listed 3 times.

It seems you are quite close to the Brat (Allen, MI), if I am able to pursue it further would you mind giving it a look-over if you have the time?
That Gen 1 Brat is pretty sweet - but MAKE SURE THE FRAME RAILS ARE SOLID!
I know pretty much everything there is to know about older Subies, let me know if you have any questions.
(Desmond, with the EJ22-swapped $750 Gen 2 Brat)

either kind of dealer....
Desmond, actually the thing that set this all off was your Brat that popped up in the sidebar. I immediately went to CL to search for one and this popped up.
I got an email from the seller saying there is surface rust but the frame rails (actually he wrote "fame rails") are solid.
Another bonus is the rare V4 engine
