Well crap. Wish you were closer.
I finally went to Gettysburg last June after I finished a job in Hampstead, MD. Pretty darn sobering as I had relatives that fought there. It was hotter than hades when i was there. I cannot see how Civil War soldiers could have gone into battle wearing wool uniforms in July. Especially standing at the Confederate lines looking across the wide open field to the Union lines.
