Not fire, but the AMC Spirit AMX's had giant screaming chicken-style decals on their hoods, only with "AMX" in the middle.

This is only the second time in my history of being on these forums that i have not known a car....
WTF is this? its pretty cool
A friend of mine had one in high school. It was a rebadged Mitsu Lancer.... It had a 5spd, 2.6L 4banger and rwd. Solid rear axle.... The car was a blast to drive, an early drifter. The 4cyl was great with fantastic torque and excellent hp/weight. We use to run it down sand roads in the S Jersey Pine Barrens, basically sideways through every turn. It was great.
It got stolen one night from a concert in Philly. My buddy did not care to much, I missed that car more then he did.

My sister's in-laws had a new one when I was a kid. It was back with gold trim. I never knew that they were rear wheel drive, though, as that was around the time when everyone suddenly wanted fwd econoboxes and almost every new car available was a piece of crap, with just a few exceptions.
Id actually like to build one of those for an FSP autocross car someday. You could make it probably close to as fast as a rabbit or 2002 if you really wanted to.
Would somebody just buy this damn car already! I'm tired of seeing it here!!!
Good thing there isn't any gas in Georgia, at least that will discourage me from trying to drive down & get this thing...
Yeah, this is a kissin' cousin to the Plymouth Sapporo I had in high school in the late 80's (which was also sold as the Dodge Challenger...gulp!).
I need a LeMons car...wonder if I could talk him down?!
For a few dollars more . . .
