how would you feel about me taking a trip down there and taking off all of the parts I don't need? I will dissasemble the car, take the shell and leave you with a pile of "valuble" parts to sell on the E-bays.
(I could even bring down some of my own parts for you to sell as well...gratis)

Depending on what year the car is, the internals of the transmssion may be of value to a Spitfire enthusiast. Four speed only.
And the diff that matches the four speed should be of a 3.63:1 ratio, also of interest to Spitters. I'm not sure if the pumpkin comes out whole and can be used as such or just the R&P.

That would be totally fine by me! I did notice that while I was taking some things off of it there appears to be a bit of filler in one of the rockers. I thought the paint was just peeling off, until I peeled it and saw that it was actually a skim coat of filler/bondo. They did a really good job of it, and it doesn't appear to be rusted out or anything like that. It looks like it was filling a tiny dent, but it's hard to say unless I were it chip/grind all the filler out.
