I took some cameras and some film and went to the challenge. When I got back home I ruined the color film through use of bad developer. We won't talk about that, I've already beaten myself up about it. SO, here's a dozenish pictures I took at the Challenge this year, all from black & white film.
If anyone is interested in having a larger, higher quality version of any of these, let me know.

That's a cool pic of Suprang. Sorry about the thing we won't mention.
And finally, my ride to the Challenge this year;

Thanks. It was educational; first automotive event I've photographed where the cars might be moving. Would like to do more things like this but my area isn't great for it.

LOL just noticed that you caught Grandma Stampie in the drivers seat. There's a story there. You'll notice that Lil Stampie is standing right behind me. At that moment he's telling me "Your job is to get Grandma out of the seat." I'm like WTF. Then he explains that Grandma Stampie got into Suprang. I know that my fat behind has issues getting in and out. E36 M3. I walk up and say "Mom that seat is a lot easier to get into than out. Maybe we should get you out." It actually wasn't that bad but she did have a laugh at me when I showed her what I had to do to get in and out.
Stampie: Yes, I saw her there, thought it was cool that she came down to get in on the event. I think you need to change Lil Stampie's name to Tall Stampie or something because the kid isn't so Lil.
I would love to have a larger shot of our GTI! Happy to pay for your services, shipping, etc
dyintorace: Give me an email address and I can send the full size .jpg to you. You could then have it printed anywhere that does online prints. Probably keep it to something like 8 x 10. If you need more assistance let me know. No cost involved with me.

This is the best the nose of the Insight has ever looked.
Thanks for posting! That's such an awesome photo of the Taurus, looks mean. My daughter loves it. They had such a blast at the event they're still coming down off the high. Already planning for next year.
rich911s: What was the situation with the team? Were you a family or? It seemed like the girls were having a good time with the Taurus at the drags.
Yes, family and friends. We've been coming since 2013. My son entered his first car last year with his high school buddies (orange Mustang) and my daughter wanted to enter this year with her friends. She's a junior in HS and has only been driving for 5 months and went 12 sec at 108 in the 1/4! Talk about being a nervous dad. She and her friends are hooked now.
