I'm selling it. I would say that it's current price is under $2008.
It's old. It's not shiny. It's all there. Has sat for the last 8 years in a shed so may even qualify as a "barn find". Doesn't run currently.

I'd have to convince Dad to hit up the DMV for a new one. He would do it but I hate to ask him to spend his time like that. So I'll sell it with a bill of sale.
I will be watching. :)
Would your dad be willing to just fill out the lost title paperwork? I would take it from there.
Actually...get me the paperwork and I'll talk to him. I'm sure he wouldn't mind spending some time with a ballpoint to get that ball rolling. if nothing else I could fill out the form and get his signature in the right points. Do you know what info is required?

If it was registered in Virginia in his name, then you need to fill out a Form VSA66, submit that to the DMV, and pay the $5.00 replacement title fee. It's really quite easy. Your dad doesn't even need to go in, you can pick up the title as long as he signs the form in the appropriate places and your name is listed in the "AUTHORIZATION FOR RECEIPT OF CERTIFICATE OF TITLE" section towards the bottom. Just fill the form as best you can, the most important information is simply the VIN, if you don't know the other information, the DMV can look it up. If you've got a registration card, I think all that information is on there, but as long as you've got the VIN and his signature, I think it's probably worth your time to get a replacement title for it.

No problem. In all likelihood your R5, while I'd love to have it, will go beyond what I can pay. But just the same, you'll probably get significantly more if you can aquire a title...definitely more than the 5 bucks and 45 minute wait at the DMV will cost you. :)
