I need a set of 17" wheels that will fit a 2001 Mustang Cobra. These would be for snow tires, so they need to be straight but not pretty. let me know what you have.

i have a set of those. i bought them as new takeoffs and they've been used for 40k miles or so. one has light curb rash from when a buddy borrowed my car. $200 for you. they're coming off the car they are on in a week or two.
Watch the offset. The older cars are different than the S197s. Mostly a cosmetic issue as I understand it, and I'm sure you already know this. Just thought I'd mention it.

Thanks. But I've seen the newer wheels on older cars. What is the difference? These would be just for snows, but the Bullitts do have the larger Cobra brakes.
I think the newer wheels have about a +20 offset to the old wheels. I don't know if the cobra brakes will clear.
From my brief research, it looks like spacers and longer wheel studs are required. For me, thats probably not worth it, since I know I can find SN95 wheels that will just bolt on. Pat, please verify that your wheels are of the S197 style or not. Thanks, Jim
i think they were from an 05. i could check part # this weekend when i take them off.
no ford, they're on my wife's buick.
I have a set of wheels that might work. Six spoke sport edition somethings. 17x8+35. 5x114.3. Actually pretty close to perfect, one thumbnail sized spot of rash on one wheel, no bends. Minor detail that they're in Minnesota. I'd take 200$. I'd actually take 150 from a grmer. Tires on them are shot..... But that's nbd.
Shipping? Seems to be about 100$ for a set of rims no matter what. Pics.https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10152766386409890&id=725294889 try that fb link.... Pasting from my phone sucks balls.
Check with shipnex dot com was 180ish for 150lbs of wheels/tires a month ago coast to coast. Took about a week.

I thought only the mach and cobra had the 13" dual pistons.
well, they beat me to it, but the older cars had a narrower track at the hubs. I can never remember if that's more or less offset - or more or less backspacing - or...ah screw it. That's why you can get beautiful deep lip wheels in 8" wide for the older cars but have to run 10" wide to get the same look on the new cars. One of the few aesthetic things I dislike about the S197...
Seriously, I'd check out CL and the local junk yards. Older mustang wheels seem to be everywhere here locally. $200 should get you a decent set easily I would think. EDIT: I stand corrected. Seems spring was the time for cheap wheels and now they're all $400. Nevermind, carry on...
Well I thought I had this worked out, but it turned out I didn't. Sooooo, I'm still looking for said wheels. PLEASE let me know if you can help me out. I need something quick!
AMR was selling new bullit wheels for $69 each last month, might want to look at their clearance area?
Edit: americanmuscle.com
Worst case scenario, I still have the msp wheels. 17x7 5x114.3, I don't remember the offset offhand.
